Rupert's work covers a variety of subjects, although
water is almost invariable involved somewhere. He has had a varied
career, starting as a professional yacht skipper and Yachtmaster
Instructor. He has sailed some 70,000 miles, racing and cruising
boats of all descriptions, from dinghies to 80 footers, visiting
locations from Cape Horn to the Norwegian Fjords, including many
of the warmer places in between.
For the past 10 years he has been a yachting journalist
contributing features, news and photographs to some of the UK's best-known
boating magazines.
He was brought up on the Isle of Wight, where his
family still lives, and returned to live in Cowes two years ago.
He continues to travel extensively, bringing diversity and new ideas
to his work.
Rupert held his first London exhibition at the Battersea
Contemporary Art Fair in November 2005, showing a range of prints,
including scenes from travels in the Mediterranean and the USA, as
well as shots taken on the Isle of Wight and around the Solent area.
